Max Florida is a scenic artist and designer from St. Louis, Missouri, who has worked in both professional and academic settings at the Sargent Conservatory of theater arts at Webster University. Max’s scenic design credits include Seize the King and The Legend of Georgia McBride (Sargent Conservatory), his assistant design credits include The Secret Garden (Lexington Children’s Theater), the world premier of The Pigeon Gets A Big Time Holiday Extravaganza! (Mainstreet theatre), and The Drowning Girls (Sargent Conservatory). In addition to design, Max has worked as a scenic charge artist for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Ride the Cyclone, and The Drowning Girls (Sargent Conservatory), as well as a scenic painter for Murder for Two and Austen’s Pride (Stages St. Louis) and he has worked as a painting intern for the Contemporary American Theatre Festival’s 2024 season. Max always enjoys exploring new avenues in visual art, as well as spending time in good company with his cat and his friends.
